1st ANNIVERSARY SHOW PRESENTED BY THUNDER ROAD GUITARS

TUESDAY, JANUARY 6th – 8PM

This is be our 1st Anniversary party for Blues To Do-TV Live! and we’re bringing some special guests together to celebrate! We will begin the evening by welcoming our newest West Seattle sponsor, Thunder Road Guitars. From Portland we welcome Ben Rice & Lucy Hammond, both with a strong reputation of performing with their own groups, an electric combination of dynamic musicians and engaging stage presence. They combine their talents on roots, rhythm, blues and soul to create a fantastic show.

TWEETY & THE TOM-CATS
TUESDAY, JANUARY 13th – 8PM 

There is a lot of natural talent in Tweety & The Tom-Cats which features Gina “Tweety” Holloway on sax and vocals. Tweey’s voice is rich and dynamic with gospel influences, which translates to her sweet tenor saxophone tone as well. With big band in her background, Tweety powers the Tom-Cats with soulful solos which has led to her opening for Elvin Bishop and Big Brother & The Holding Company, among others. On guitar and vocals, George Michael vamps on everything from Van Morrison to Van Halen and has opened for Shania TwainAverage White BandBrooks & Dunn and more. Also a native of Chicago, Tom Austin mixes rhythmic stability with harmonic blend on his four and five stringed basses.

DAN TYACK & STONE SOUP
TUESDAY, JANUARY 20th – 8PM

Dan has played everywhere from Nashville, to L.A. and is a pedal steel expert, taking it way beyond the traditional Country and Western Swing and has performed and recorded with  Asleep at the WheelNew Riders of the Purple SageVince GillLacy J. Dalton, and many more. He plays everything from funky blues, roots-rock, gospel, sacred steel, reggae and jazz for gigs, recording sessions, or special projects, and has a self-produced CD called Blackened Toast.

LADIES SING THE BLUES: AN ALL-STAR SHOW
TUESDAY, JANUARY 27th – 8PM

Our monthly musical collaboration featuring an All-Star All-Women band and superb vocalists joining together to bring great music and fun energy to our Tuesday series. This month’s confirmde performers are Beth Wulff, Kelli with an ‘I’, Sylvia Rollins, Diane Dunn, Lady A, Lady Keys, Sheryl Clark, Mary Van Zante, Annie O’Neil, and many more…in pajamas!

Pink & Blues: A Musical Collaboration

Throughout October we’re dedicating each Tuesday night to Breast Cancer Awareness, featuring all-women hosted jam sessions in a series called Pink & Blues. This will be blues represented in all its hybrid forms, including jazz, R&B, soul, funk, roots, Americana and folk.

We’ve invited special guest ational touring artists and legacy artists, further providing opportunities for mentoring as well as representing a powerful statement with this remarkable women’s musical collective.

Many of these outstanding ladies are lining up to play October’s Pink & Blues, including very talented women who have played together in the Seattle Women’s Jazz Orchestra/Mood Swings, including Morgan Gilkeson (SWJO, Mo’ Jam Mondays at Nectar), Beth Wulff (The Wulfftones), Michelle D’Amour (Michelle D’Amour and The Love Dealers), Annette Taborn (Blues In Schools and various bands), Lady Keys (Stardrums & Lady Keys), Antoinette Truzito (Antoinette & Mother Sponge), Alice Stuart (Alice Stuart and The Formerlies), Carolyn Graye (Cornish vocal coach and jazz band leader), Kim Archer (The Kim Archer Band), Patti Mey (Boneyard Preachers, Jeff & The Jet City Fliers, Swamp Mama Johnson and many more), Sylvia RollinsMelanie Owens (The Groovetramps), Charlene Grant (Isaac Scott and other bands), and Erin Rubin-Tate (The Take Downs).
