Feedback Lounge 2015

Feedback Lounge 2015

A new year means more opportunities to bring new events/live music to the Feedback Lounge, as well as introducing you to more of our award-winning craft cocktails, courtesy of Matt, Amanda and Jordan, three of the best mixologists in the city.

We’ve always tried to mix it up in terms of the live music we bring to the Feedback: blues, R&B, classic rock, nostalgia, tributes, hair rock, dance, soul, jazz, rockabilly and more. In 2015, we will continue to do that with never a cover charge. That’s the West Seattle way.

Looking ahead, we have the incredible Into The Cold returning, along with Kirk Dubb, Black Vinyl All-Stars, Gerald Collier, The Dusty 45s, Led Zeppelin tribute, Rippin Chicken (house residency here first Wednesday of each month), and an incoming slew of live album release shows.

We’re also continuing our weekly Blues To Do Live series (every Tuesday night, 8PM), featuring the best blues and all of its off-shoots in the entire Pacific Northwest. This series – now a year old – has turned into a blues lover’s jackpot; the caliber and quality of the blues artists that come in are near to staggering. And if you can’t make it in, each show streams on the internet at

Continuing with Just Laugh It Off, our once a month live standup comedy series. Each show features six of Seattle’s rising star comedians, some of whom have been getting national attention. The shows are free and start at 8PM.

New to the Feedback Lounge this year is the Seattle Poker Open, beginning January 15th and running every Thursday, 7PM thereafter. Wanna release your inner poker shark? Click HERE for details.

Every Thursday, Amanda and Jordan host Cocktail Club with new flavors and ingredients, taking craft cocktails to a new level. They get under way around 6PM and will surprise you every week with their mixology skills.

Chef Wade changes the Fresh Sheet every two weeks and offers it open to close. Come taste what everyone is talking about.

DJ Kingblind hosts The Deep Cuts every Thursday, spinning rock in all directions. Where he really shines is with his themed setlists. He also takes requests, by the way.

On our 10-foot big screens, of course.

We update/post every day on Facebook and Twitter. Funny pics, upcoming events, things we overhear in the bar, jokes… You never know what you’ll see.

Update almost daily. This is where you can find out what we’re doing and what’s coming up whenever you want. We also have our cocktail/food/happy hour menus online as well.

We have a few more things up our sleeves for 2015, so bookmark our website, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter for all the new fun stuff headed your way.

Comedy Night: 1 Year Anniversary

September 13, 2014

Just Laugh It Off

Time to pop the champagne and/or Budweiser – our JUST LAUGH IT OFF COMEDY NIGHT series celebrates its one year anniversary on Wednesday, September 17th, 8PM with a stellar line-up of terrific and funny rising star comedians. As always, this is a free show.

Headlining the show is stand-up comedian/actor/writer ROBERT PIDDE, with very special guests MONA CONCEPCION, ABRAHAM BEHALIU, WILFRED PADUA and SHAWN ARMISTEAD. And let’s not forget our incredible host, DARYL COXY.

A taste of Robert’s good-natured humor…

“People say going to McDonald’s for a salad is like going to a prostitute for a hug. But sometimes you just need a hug.”

“Quitting candy cigarettes is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Doesn’t feel like these sugar patches are doing ANYTHING.”

“Saw a man propose inside a Kay Jeweler in the mall. Decided that all milestones shouldn’t be done within 100 yards of any Wetzel’s Pretzels.”

West Seattle’s King of Comedy

June 14, 2014

West Seattle King of Comedy

It’s tough being a comedian, in this city or anywhere else. And it’s even tougher being a promoter of comedy. Just ask Daryl “Duane” Coxy, Seattle’s Patron Saint of Comedy, who has been a tireless advocate/producer of the city’s burgeoning comedic talent.

Duane books and manages the Feedback Lounge’s “Just Laugh It Off” Comedy Series, bringing in an astonishing array of rising and established comedians. And he does it mostly out of pocket. “I never make any money,” he laughs, preferring to re-invest whatever he makes into keeping his love of comedy going.

Hard to say where local comedy be without guys like Daryl. Here’s why he’s one of the most qualified movers and shakers in the Seattle comedy industry…

“I’ve always been a big comedy fan. I’ve seen every HBO Comedy Special and Comedy Central Presents that’s ever been produced, more than likely. I got hooked on local comedy when I saw the Seattle International Comedy Competition at the Comedy Underground in 2012.”

“I followed the circuit of local shows and comedians for about a year before I ventured into producing my own shows. I used to produce a public access show in Spokane and participated in a few unknown podcasts for fun. I produced a sold out show at Parlor Live in March of 2013. That was the first gig that I produced outside of Feedback Lounge.”

Mona Concepcion, host and co-producer, is the one who gives me credibility with the local comics. She helps me choose the most talented comics for our Feedback showcases and always does a great job of hosting our shows. Mona is the only female Chamorro comedian in the world which makes her more unicorn than Pacific Islander.

Hailing from the tropical island of Saipan – a real place – she has made Seattle her home. She has spent the last two years performing all over the west coast, from the largest Chamorro festival in the country to the smallest bar in Renton, WA.”

“I believe in underdogs and like to do things differently. I have made a point of giving up-and-coming” comics their first headlining spots, and it’s an honor for me to do so. There are a number of great feature level comics who seem to hit a glass ceiling and only get closing slots if they produce their own shows. I know talent when I see it and want to give those comics a chance to spread their wings and fly. I also love to book some of the best under appreciated headliners who should be on TV and often tour without much fanfare. It’s my honor to support and work with all of these comedians.”

The Feedback Lounge features free live comedy every month. See our calendar for upcoming shows. And come shake hands with Daryl – and tell him your latest joke; He’ll love it.
