Oh Sherry

January 29, 2015

Sherry
Sometimes, late at night, I lay awake and worry that people don’t think about Sherry enough, and I cry and cry and cry, then shake my fists at the sky in impotent rage. Wait…not impotent – let’s say “useless” instead.

Anyhoo, the impact of fortified wines can’t really be overstated. Spanish fortified wines (Sherry, duh) especially are amazingly complex on their own, but using them in a cocktail is like a delicious hug. And everyone loves hugs. Especially Jordan and Amanda. Sherry and Hugs.

Thursday.

Liqueur In The Front

January 22, 2015

I don’t know if y’all noticed, but we have a WHOLE SHELF of Amaro, right there below the TV. They’re there because I love them. They’re STILL there because nobody ever drinks them. I don’t care though because you trust Amanda and Jordan and they’re gonna put Amaro in your facehole on Thursday.

There are 16 different ones, they’re very different, and some of them are not easy to find and pretty damn expensive. But A and J have the go ahead to mix them into your favorite booze and elevate the hell out of them. And yes, a Cosmo with Amaro is better than a Cosmo without. I swear.

Thursday night, 6ish. Loooooooveeee You…

Comedy To Light You Up

January 20, 2015

"Just Laugh It Off" Comedy
“JUST LAUGH IT OFF” COMEDY NIGHT
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21st – 8PM
 | NO COVER
What another awesome line-up of rising star Seattle comedians: Tyler Smith, winner of the Northern Lights comedian competition in 2012, headlines along with very special guests Silas Lindenstein, Parker Postyeni, Issac Novak, Patrick Higgins and Mona Concepcion.

In post-legalization Seattle, standup comic/pot enthusiast Tyler Smith’s new cooking-with-pot show, Something’s Burning, channels his abiding love for weed into a how-to series that’s equal parts entertaining and informative.

With his veteran comedy chops and his, ahem, passion for the subject matter, it would be hard to imagine a better-equipped guide to lead viewers into the new and uncharted territory of legal, edible marijuana. In just over a month, Something’s Burning has gotten well over a quarter of a million views on YouTube™. Wanna see more? Click HERE.

Casino Cocktails

January 15, 2015

Casino Cocktails

In honor of some poker player who’ll be inhabiting the back room tonight during Seattle Poker Open (every Thursday), Jordan and Amanda are doing Casino Cocktails: Ante, Casino, Lady Luck, Monte Carlo and probably a whole bunch of “Hey A or J – make me something good,” which is really what it’s all about.

And don’t forget – REALLY rare and awesome whiskeys on the shelf at the moment. Drink good whiskey, please.

Waiter, There’s An Egg In My Cocktail…

January 8, 2015

Flips

Jordan and Amanda, unafraid of challenges or each other or possibly your initial reaction to huevos, want to do that which those who came hundreds of years before LOVED…Flips.

If you haven’t had one, it’s a cocktail with an egg shaken into it. Luxurious, rich, smooth, and awesome. Don’t be a’scared – if you’ve ever had egg nog, you’ve had a Flip.

Now, if you are scared, we’re also featuring Trinidad rum because people don’t drink enough of it and that displeases me.

Tonight, 6ish. I Love You.
